Global cybersecurity revenue reached close to $200 billion in 2025 and is projected to climb to roughly $265 billion by 2030, according to Statista Market Insights figures charted by Statista. The market stood near $120 billion in 2020, putting revenue on pace to more than double across the decade.

The United States is the largest single market by a wide margin, accounting for $86 billion of the 2025 total. China ranked second at $16 billion. Major European economies including the United Kingdom and Germany contribute steady but smaller shares, growing at a slower pace than the American market.

Statista tied the spending increase to a run of high profile cyber incidents and to the expanding number of entry points created by digitalization and artificial intelligence. Generative AI has introduced attack methods that include automated phishing, deepfake based fraud and AI assisted hacking, which has pushed governments and private firms to raise defensive budgets.

The scale of recent exposure events helps explain the trajectory. In 2025, 16 billion login records were exposed in a single leak, the largest data breach recorded to date and a marker of how much credential data sits in reachable systems.

Statista also reported that companies folding AI into daily operations face risks that are becoming more complex and harder to detect, which has moved cybersecurity higher on corporate agendas. The same research frames security spending as one piece of a wider corporate technology shift that includes workflow automation, customer experience tools and workforce productivity software.
