Anthropic and PwC announced a major expansion of their strategic alliance on May 14, deepening how the global professional services firm uses Claude to build technology, execute deals, and transform enterprise functions across every industry it serves.
The partnership centers on three areas. PwC engineering teams are using Claude Code to ship production software for major clients in weeks rather than quarters, with a growing portfolio of agentic builds across financial services, pharma, healthcare, and consumer markets. PwC is also reinventing how it executes deals end-to-end -- diligence, value creation, and integration -- with AI agents working alongside deal teams, compressing the path from investment thesis to value capture. Third, the firm is building AI-native operating models for finance, supply chain, HR, and core engineering functions.
The production results reported so far are significant. Insurance underwriting that previously took 10 weeks now takes 10 days. Security incident response has moved from hours to minutes. An HR transformation program delivered a working prototype in one week and a full application in under two months -- now running thousands of daily transactions.
PwC will roll out Claude Code and Cowork to its U.S. workforce first, expanding toward hundreds of thousands of professionals globally. A joint Center of Excellence will train and certify 30,000 PwC professionals on Claude. The companies are also co-developing PwC's new Office of the CFO practice, starting with regulated industries where accuracy and auditability matter most.
PwC also confirmed that Advocate Health, one of the nation's largest health systems, is building toward full-scale deployment of Claude across its 167,000-person workforce.
