Intuit-owned Mailchimp, the email marketing and automation platform headquartered in Atlanta, announced a new conversational analytics tool called Analytics AI along with expanded data integrations designed to give ecommerce brands faster, plain-language access to campaign performance data. The announcement, made by parent company Intuit, introduces an AI agent built into Mailchimp that answers marketer questions directly rather than requiring manual dashboard building or report exports.
According to the company, Analytics AI draws on a customer's connected ecommerce data from platforms including Shopify, WooCommerce, and Wix alongside Mailchimp campaign history to identify patterns and recommend specific next steps tied to revenue outcomes. Diana Williams, vice president of product at Intuit Mailchimp, said the tool is meant to close the gap between raw data and action, and described it as a foundational step toward a more autonomous, agentic marketing platform.
The company also introduced an AI Segment Builder in beta, which lets marketers describe a target audience in plain language and have the system build the corresponding segment using behavioral and demographic data automatically. Separately, Mailchimp rolled out integrations that let marketers build and refine email campaigns directly inside ChatGPT and Claude before finalizing and launching them from within Mailchimp.
An early beta customer, Detroit-based art gallery Playground Detroit, said the tool cut report processing time that previously took over an hour down to an interactive search, helping the business refine campaign strategy and improve subscriber engagement. Mailchimp has billed itself as the leading AI-powered email marketing and automation platform based on customer count, and the company said the new analytics tool is available now to all paid Mailchimp customers globally.
