Tractian, a physical AI company based in Atlanta, raised $130 million in a Series D round at a $1.4 billion valuation, Dealroom reported on October 23. Sapphire Ventures led the round and M&G's Catalyst co-led. The valuation nearly doubles the $720 million figure from Tractian's December 2024 Series C, which Sapphire also led.
Igor Marinelli is founder and CEO of the seven-year-old company. Tractian retrofits industrial machines with about a dozen sensor types that measure vibration, temperature, pressure and water level. It sells AI software that monitors the sensor data, predicts equipment failures and recommends maintenance before breakdowns occur. The company customizes open-source AI models, including Nvidia's Nemotron, to analyze the readings.
Annualized recurring revenue crossed $100 million in September 2026, up 90 percent year over year, according to Marinelli. Food and beverage is the largest customer sector, and critical infrastructure, including AI data centers, is the fastest growing. Funds will go toward research and development in industrial monitoring and AI.
Tractian lists its headquarters on West Peachtree Street NW in Midtown Atlanta, in Fulton County. Hypepotamus reported that Marinelli moved the company from the Bay Area to Atlanta to be closer to engineering talent and customers in asset-heavy industries.
