Visual Capitalist ranked the world's 30 most valuable unicorn companies using Crunchbase data on the most recent reported private-market valuation for each firm. A unicorn is a private company valued at $1 billion or more.
The 30 companies carry a combined valuation of about $3.9 trillion. Artificial intelligence companies account for roughly 60 percent of that total. Two US firms supply close to half of it: Anthropic at $965 billion and OpenAI at $852 billion, a combined $1.8 trillion.
Other AI and AI-adjacent US companies fill much of the rest of the ranking. Databricks sits at $134 billion, Waymo at $126 billion, Figure at $39 billion, Project Prometheus at $38 billion, Safe Superintelligence at $32 billion, VAST Data at $30 billion, Anysphere at $29 billion, Scale at $29 billion and Cognition at $26 billion.
Financial technology forms the second concentration of value. Stripe is ranked at $159 billion, Revolut at $75 billion, Ramp at $44 billion, Checkout.com at $40 billion and Ripple at $40 billion. Defense supplier Anduril Industries is valued at $61 billion. Fanatics, Epic Games and JUUL each sit between $23 billion and $31 billion.
US companies hold a substantial majority of the top 30 positions. Visual Capitalist attributed that concentration to the depth of US venture capital markets, access to technical talent and a startup ecosystem able to scale private companies to very large valuations well before any public listing.
