Salesforce commanded 34.1% of the customer relationship management market on $29.1 billion in calendar 2025 revenue, according to market share figures published alongside analysis of the company's 2026 Agentic Enterprise Index. Adobe followed at 6.7%, Microsoft Dynamics at 5.4%, HubSpot at 3.5%, ServiceNow customer service management at 2.7%, Zendesk at 2.5%, and SAP at 2.0%.

The picture inverts in the AI platforms category. There Salesforce holds 0.6% of the market on $688 million in revenue, compared with Microsoft at 12.4% on $13.7 billion. ServiceNow recorded $1.5 billion for a 1.3% share and SAP $761 million for 0.7%. ServiceNow posted a compound annual growth rate of 182.5% in AI platform revenue from 2022 through 2025.

Deployment data from the index showed organizations nearly tripling active agent counts, with creation time down 53% and a fourfold increase in retail online sales attributed to agent deployments. Salesforce reported that 68% of organizations sit at generative AI optimization stage or higher. A separate decision maker survey placed 30.5% at optimization, 24.3% at standardization, and 13.3% at transformation.

Adoption barriers cluster around trust. In a survey of 820 decision makers, 55% named reliability and hallucination management as their top challenge and 53% cited privacy and security. Within agentic deployments specifically, security and data privacy vulnerabilities ranked first at 24%, followed by loss of human control over critical decisions at 16% and integration complexity at 16%. Top deployment areas were IT operations at 52%, cybersecurity at 48%, and sales, marketing, and service at 38%.
