Insight Global, a talent, consulting, and AI services company headquartered in Dunwoody, Georgia, announced it plans to hire more than 1,700 employees in 2026 to keep pace with rising demand for technical talent and AI transformation work. The hiring push spans consulting, technical delivery, sales, recruiting, and corporate operations, according to a company news release.
Insight Global CEO Bert Bean said artificial intelligence systems hold significant value, though effective implementation still requires skilled people working alongside computing power, and that transformation cannot be outsourced to software alone.
The announcement comes as many technology companies have recently reduced headcount or frozen hiring, moves partly tied to AI adoption. Georgia labor data cited in the report show the state's information, professional, and business services sectors lost 8,700 jobs over the past year, though AI may be only one of several contributing economic factors.
Cillian Maher, president of Insight Global's consulting division, said cutting staff is not the effective response to AI's arrival, and that access to people who understand how to implement the technology is the biggest differentiator for companies right now. The company reported that demand for its staffing services rose 15 percent over the past year, while AI-specific demand climbed 136 percent in early 2026 compared with the prior year.
Insight Global, founded in Atlanta roughly 25 years ago, has been headquartered in Dunwoody since 2020 and employs about 40,000 full-time and contract workers across 40 countries, including nearly 3,000 in the Atlanta area.
