Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business will launch a new Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Business Transformation beginning in fall 2026, creating a dedicated graduate pathway for professionals preparing to lead AI-driven change across business organizations.

The three-semester, 30-credit-hour program combines applied AI training with a domain specialization in a student's chosen business area. Students complete two embedded graduate certificates, one focused on artificial intelligence and one tied to a specific business concentration such as fintech innovation, digital marketing, management consulting, or actuarial science. The program concludes with a capstone project in which students develop an AI-powered solution to a real business problem in collaboration with Robinson College's strategic partners.

Dean Richard Phillips described the degree as a direct response to how organizations across industries are integrating AI into core operations. "This degree aligns with how organizations are adopting these technologies across industries and business functions and equips graduates with the expertise to drive innovation and lead AI-enabled change," he said.

The Jeff and Sherry Hwang Foundation is funding 8 to 10 scholarships of $5,000 each through the Hwang AI Scholar Initiative to support the program's inaugural cohort. The Hwangs are Georgia State alumni who built careers in technology and business after immigrating from Taiwan.
