Georgia State University announced the launch of its Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Business Technology program, a new graduate offering designed for working professionals seeking to integrate AI tools and strategy into business operations. The program, based at Georgia State's Robinson College of Business in Atlanta, accepted its first cohort for the Fall 2026 semester.

The 30-credit hour curriculum covers machine learning fundamentals, natural language processing applications, AI ethics and governance, and applied business case modules across industries including healthcare, logistics, finance, and marketing. Students complete a capstone project in collaboration with a partnering Atlanta-area employer, with confirmed industry partners including several Fortune 500 firms headquartered in Georgia.

Program Director Dr. Marcus Reid stated that the curriculum was developed in response to employer surveys indicating that 81% of hiring managers in the Atlanta region prioritize AI literacy as a skill requirement for new business hires at the analyst and manager levels. The program targets professionals with three or more years of work experience.

Georgia State joins a growing roster of Georgia universities expanding AI-focused graduate programming. The University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Emory University have each launched or expanded AI-related graduate tracks since 2024, reflecting the state's position as a growing technology hub in the Southeast.

Applications for the Spring 2027 cohort open in October 2026.
