The US General Services Administration awarded LexisNexis Risk Solutions a call order covering all three functional areas of the Login.gov next-generation remote identity proofing program, according to an announcement carried by Metro Atlanta CEO on August 13, 2026. The company, which runs its risk business from Alpharetta in Fulton County, Georgia, received the award on May 1, 2026 under an existing Blanket Purchase Agreement.
The combined Functional Area 1 and Functional Area 2 award carries a value of roughly $55 million and covers document authentication, validation, and biometric identity verification. The Functional Area 3 award for identity resolution carries a value of roughly $163 million and covers attribute validation, behavioral intelligence, and fraud detection.
Login.gov operates as a single account for federal programs, benefits, and services. Agencies expanding digital service delivery face a twin problem: screening out increasingly sophisticated fraud while keeping access fast for legitimate users. The awards cover work across the full identity verification lifecycle, from document authentication and biometric checks through identity resolution and fraud scoring.
Haywood Talcove, chief executive of LexisNexis Risk Solutions Government, said identity sits at the foundation of how people engage with government in a digital-first world, and that verification determines whether security and accessibility work together as agencies widen digital access to benefits programs.
Automated identity systems of this kind score risk in real time by analyzing patterns across large data sets, a category of applied machine learning that has expanded across federal procurement as agencies move more services online.
