The RICE Georgia AIM Mobile Studio will stop at the Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University on Thursday, October 8, 2026. The 53-foot mobile laboratory will operate from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and admission is free and open to the public.
Georgia AIM operates under the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs, known as RICE. The studio carries equipment that visitors can handle directly, including robotic arms, drones, CNC machines, 3D printers, laser cutters and a robotic dog. Organizers describe the goal as showing how AI and automation apply to manufacturing work in practice.
The event welcomes high school and college students, career changers and working professionals. Staff will be on site throughout the day to discuss training pathways and job opportunities in advanced manufacturing and automation. Programming includes demonstrations of practical AI applications and guided activities designed to build technology literacy and interest in AI-driven careers.
Freda Hendley-Reeves, vice president of marketing, PR and communications for Georgia AIM, said access to the technology makes AI and advanced manufacturing less abstract for people who see and use it firsthand. Anna Freeman, director of outreach and engagement at the Georgia Cyber Center, said the day offers something for students deciding on a next step and for professionals studying how AI is changing the workforce.
The Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University hosts the stop, and the announcement lists no registration requirement.
