NielsenIQ, the Chicago based consumer intelligence company listed on the New York Stock Exchange as NIQ, said on August 25 that it is working with The OpenAI Deployment Company to extend its Optiq product line into client systems. Three products sit inside the scope: Optiq Chat, Optiq Mobile and Optiq Bridge. No financial terms, contract length or launch customers were disclosed.

Optiq Chat is described by the company as an insights agent that carries a user from a business question to a recommendation grounded in its retail measurement and consumer panel data. Optiq Bridge is a governed route for organizations to pull NIQ data, models and generative AI capabilities into their own platforms and AI environments. Expanded versions of both are scheduled for release in early September. Optiq Mobile is already available in the United States on the Apple App Store.

The company addressed distribution directly in a published question and answer section, stating that its proprietary data stays available only through authorized NIQ products, client agreements, permissions and applicable security controls, and that the work keeps that data out of public reach through ChatGPT.

Underneath the products sits a 160 petabyte data engine covering roughly 260 million product items and 10.5 billion product attributes. On an August 10 earnings call the company reported 34 percent growth in revenue from AI native solutions alongside quarterly revenue of 1,124.2 million dollars. Pricing for machine access to the retail measurement data remains undisclosed, and executives have said several models are under consideration.
