Salesforce introduced a set of Agentforce Marketing capabilities at its Connections 2026 event, extending its push to put autonomous AI agents into everyday marketing execution. The new tools are designed to work alongside marketers on tasks such as building pipeline, generating campaign content, and managing campaigns end to end. A Content Agent can produce omnichannel material across email, mobile messages, SMS, RCS conversations, and promotional experiences, and it can handle localization within the same workflow while drawing on customer context and brand guidelines.
A Marketing Goals Agent lets teams set objectives, budgets, and guardrails, then allows agents to create, run, and optimize campaigns within those limits. Salesforce framed the release as a way to free marketers from repetitive work so they can focus on strategy, storytelling, and customer engagement. The company said its broader Agentforce platform has scaled to 18,500 customers processing more than 3 billion workflows per month.
The move overlaps with rival efforts from HubSpot, Adobe, and Microsoft, all of which are layering AI agents into marketing software. Salesforce is leaning on a shared context argument, positioning agents that operate across marketing, sales, service, and commerce on unified customer data. Analysts see the announcements as part of a wider shift in which enterprise marketing teams run growing numbers of autonomous agents rather than relying solely on human managed workflows.
