Tenon announced on July 15, 2026 that it has expanded its marketing automation capabilities to run natively inside the ServiceNow AI Platform. The integration lets marketing teams build and run omnichannel customer journeys across email, SMS, and digital channels using the same customer data model, workflow engine, governance controls, and AI services that already support sales, service, and operations functions in ServiceNow.
The design point addresses a structural problem in enterprise martech stacks. Marketing automation platforms have historically maintained separate customer records from service and sales systems, which forces synchronization jobs, creates timing gaps between systems, and splits governance across multiple vendors. Running the marketing layer on the same platform removes those handoffs.
The announcement lands during a period of rapid change in the category. Platform vendors spent the first half of 2026 compressing the time between insight and campaign launch, moving from a multi-day cycle to a process measured in minutes. HubSpot Breeze, Salesforce Einstein Copilot, Klaviyo AI, and ActiveCampaign have all shipped agentic features that plan, test, and adjust campaigns with reduced manual workflow configuration.
Adoption figures suggest the shift has moved past the pilot stage. Reporting during the period placed AI agent usage somewhere in the stack at roughly 90 percent of marketing organizations. Gartner has forecast that 40 percent of enterprise applications will embed AI agents by the end of 2026, up from under 5 percent the prior year.
