Air Transport Components (ATC) has acquired Aero Controls (ACI), an FAA-certified specialist in precision-engineered component repairs, strengthening the company's position across highly technical aircraft systems.

Based in Seattle and operating from three facilities, ACI has served the commercial aviation sector for over 40 years. The acquisition adds specialist engineering depth and proprietary repair capabilities across avionics, electromechanical components, pneumatics, transmissions, hydraulics, and emergency equipment.

ACI will continue operating as a business unit within ATC Group, with its existing leadership and team remaining in place to support continuity and integration. Chief Executive Jimmy Newman said ACI's engineering expertise and industry relationships strengthen ATC's position as a one-stop shop for major airlines, while ACI founder John Titus said the deal accelerates growth opportunities while allowing the company to continue delivering high-quality repair solutions.

The transaction is ATC Group's second acquisition since partnering with private equity firm AE Industrial Partners in June 2025, following the earlier purchase of PAS MRO. XLCS Partners served as M&A adviser to ACI.
