Atlantic Aviation has begun construction on its first facility at John C. Tune Airport in Nashville, Tennessee, with completion targeted for the fourth quarter of 2027.
The project covers a 7,500 square foot executive FBO terminal and a 37,000 square foot hangar and office complex sized to handle a full range of business aircraft. Roughly 175,000 square feet of new ramp space is included, along with a 60,000 gallon Jet A fuel farm, 12,000 gallons of 100LL capacity, and a dedicated de-icing pad. The design incorporates LEED-focused elements.
Atlantic won the contract through a competitive request for proposals run by the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority. John C. Tune Airport sits eight miles west of downtown Nashville and operates as a reliever for Nashville International Airport. The authority runs both fields.
Jeff Foland, chief executive of Atlantic Aviation, described Nashville as one of the most dynamic markets in the country and said the investment reflects a long-term commitment to supporting regional growth with modern aviation infrastructure.
Doug Kreulen, president and chief executive of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, said bringing the facilities and services to John C. Tune Airport helps position the field for long-term success.
The project team includes Margulies Hoelzli Architecture, civil engineer Benesch, general contractor PRO Building Systems, and American Environmental Aviation on the fuel farm. The new complex complements Atlantic's recently completed FBO at Nashville International Airport.
