Boeing forecasts a $4.9 trillion commercial aviation support and services market over the 20 years from 2026 to 2045, a growth rate of 3.7 percent a year. The projection comes from the company's 2026 Services Market Outlook, released in July alongside its Pilot and Technician Outlook.

The market divides into four segments. Parts and distribution services lead at $1,915 billion. Maintenance, repair, overhaul and modifications follow at $1,395 billion, then digital services at $1,355 billion and training and pilot services at $195 billion.

North America accounts for $995 billion of the total, about one-fifth of global demand, and grows at 2.5 percent a year, the lowest growth rate of any region. Eurasia is the largest regional market at $1,185 billion and grows at 3.4 percent. China reaches $875 billion at 5.0 percent, and the Middle East reaches $475 billion at 4.0 percent.

Growth rates run highest in South Asia at 7.4 percent and Southeast Asia at 6.5 percent. Southeast Asia is a $425 billion market and South Asia is a $220 billion market. Latin America totals $260 billion at 3.8 percent, Northeast Asia $200 billion at 2.8 percent, Africa $140 billion at 4.6 percent and Oceania $85 billion at 2.6 percent.

Boeing identified several trends behind the outlook: efficiency initiatives focused on aircraft lifecycle management, increased digitalization and data-driven services, geographic shifts in services demand, and a growing need for aviation workers as retirements drive attrition. The outlook is tied to Boeing's 2026 Commercial Market Outlook, which expects demand and traffic to double over the next two decades.
