Boeing projects a 4.7 trillion dollar market for commercial aviation support and services over the 20 years from 2025 through 2044, according to its services market outlook. The forecast covers maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modifications, along with parts and supply chain, training and professional services, and digital solutions and analytics.

The services projection rides on a large wave of fleet expansion. Boeing's Commercial Market Outlook calls for global demand for 43,600 new passenger and freighter aircraft across the same period. With rising travel demand and delayed retirements, the company expects the worldwide fleet to nearly double, both adding capacity and replacing most aircraft currently in service.

Near-term traffic continues to climb. Global passenger volume is projected to reach a record 5.2 billion travelers in 2026, growing roughly 4.4 to 4.9 percent from 2025. Higher utilization translates into more frequent maintenance events and stronger demand for replacement parts and component overhauls.

Production conditions remain a constraint. Boeing notes that commercial aircraft demand is strong and that production rates are increasing, while supply chain headwinds persist across the aerospace manufacturing base. By the end of 2025, Boeing had collected 1,167 gross orders, led by 591 orders for the 737 and a rebound for the widebody 787 with 381 orders. The data points to a maintenance and services market that grows alongside a rapidly expanding and heavily utilized global fleet.
