Delta TechOps expects third party maintenance revenue between 1.0 billion and 1.2 billion dollars in 2026, up from 822 million dollars reported for 2025. The growth is anchored at the carrier's Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport campus, which sits across Clayton and Fulton counties and employs roughly 7,000 people on about 200 acres.
The Atlanta site covers approximately 2.7 million square feet of maintenance space, making it the largest aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul operation in North America. Recent capital work includes a 155,000 square foot engine repair shop built to service Pratt and Whitney geared turbofan engines, specifically the PW1100G and PW1500G models that power Delta's Airbus A321neo and A220 fleets. The shop also takes work from outside customers.
Engine overhaul capacity has become the constrained resource across the global MRO market, with geared turbofan shop visits running long and operators holding aircraft on the ground while they wait for slots. Adding domestic capacity in Atlanta gives Delta a hedge on its own fleet availability and a revenue line that grows when competitors face the same queues.
The campus sits inside the ATL Airport Chamber footprint in south metro Atlanta, and Delta has extended its lease arrangements at the site. For Clayton County the operation functions as one of the largest single site technical employers, drawing airframe and powerplant technicians from Georgia technical colleges and from the region's broader aviation workforce.
