Delta TechOps has opened a new 155,000 square foot maintenance facility at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, adding 60 engine bays and hundreds of jobs to its campus in the Metro Atlanta area. The building is dedicated to servicing Pratt and Whitney GTF engines, including the PW1100G and PW1500G models that power Delta's Airbus A321neo and A220 aircraft, along with engines from outside MRO customers.
The expansion supports Delta's stated goal of scaling TechOps into a $5 billion third-party maintenance operation. The division, already the largest airline MRO in North America, generated roughly $822 million in revenue in 2025, up from $658 million the prior year. Delta is positioning the Atlanta hangars as a global supplier serving other airlines and government customers.
The 200-acre TechOps campus at Hartsfield-Jackson houses hangars, component shops, and engine test cells. Its location at one of the world's busiest airports gives the operation direct access to a large based fleet and a steady flow of visiting aircraft. The buildout also reinforces Georgia's standing as an aviation and aerospace employment center, a sector the state has targeted for skilled workforce growth.
