Jet Parts Engineering, a Seattle-based supplier of FAA parts manufacturer approval (PMA) components, has received approval for nine new PMA parts and three new designated engineering representative (DER) repairs, adding to its expanding catalog of aftermarket alternatives for airlines and maintenance providers. The latest rollout covers components supporting the Embraer E170 and E190, Boeing 737, and CFM International CFM56-7B platforms, among others. New parts include stud nuts, a piston ring set, a wiring harness bracket, a preformed packing and a setscrew rated for engines including the CF34, CFM56-5, CFM56-7 and GEnx. The DER repairs cover an ignition exciter used on the E170 and E190, a second ignition exciter for the CFM56-7B, and an oil level sensor for the Boeing 777.
PMA parts allow airlines and maintenance, repair and overhaul providers to source FAA-approved replacement components as alternatives to original equipment manufacturer parts, typically at lower cost and with shorter lead times. Jet Parts Engineering said the newly approved parts and repairs are now listed and available for order through its e-commerce platform.
The company, which operates several subsidiaries including PG Aerotech, Aero Parts Mart and Northeast Aero, has continued expanding its FAA-approved parts catalog throughout 2026, with regular monthly rollouts of new PMA approvals covering both narrowbody and widebody aircraft platforms. The expanded parts availability comes as airlines and MRO providers continue to navigate tight spare parts supply chains and extended lead times for original equipment manufacturer components industry-wide.
