GA Telesis LLC is opening a used serviceable material processing center in Port St. Lucie, Florida, to expand its aviation parts distribution operations. The company announced the move on September 24, 2026, and tied it to rising demand for aircraft components.
The new site will handle parts recovered from aircraft and engine dismantling projects. Staff will receive, document and evaluate each component, then prepare it for shipment to approved maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities. Once repaired or overhauled, the parts return to GA Telesis and move through its global distribution network to airlines, aircraft lessors and MRO customers.
GA Telesis said the expansion supports growth in both its used serviceable material business and its new parts distribution business. The company expects the facility to add jobs in St. Lucie County. Its main distribution center in Fort Lauderdale will keep handling new and serviceable material, along with company facilities in Europe and Asia.
Splitting used parts processing away from the main distribution center lets each site specialize. GA Telesis expects the change to raise throughput, improve material flow and shorten the time components spend moving through the repair and distribution cycle.
The company is dismantling a record number of aircraft and engines as airlines and lessors reshape their fleets. Operators are seeking lower cost replacement parts that are available right away, a need sharpened by long lead times for new components across the aerospace supply chain. Recent GA Telesis teardown projects have included Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which adds parts for newer commercial fleets to its inventory alongside material from older types.
Used serviceable material has become a larger share of the parts mix at repair shops as engine overhaul demand stays high and new part deliveries remain slow.
