GE Aerospace has agreed to acquire Consolidated Precision Products, a manufacturer of highly engineered castings, from private investment firms Warburg Pincus and Berkshire Partners for $11.75 billion. The transaction was announced on September 9, 2026, and targets a segment of the aerospace supply chain that feeds both new engine production and the aftermarket parts pipeline that repair shops depend on.
Consolidated Precision Products is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, and was founded in 1991. It ranks among the largest producers of investment and precision sand castings worldwide. Its work spans superalloys, titanium, aluminum, magnesium and steel, and its components go into commercial and military aircraft, weapon systems, business and regional jets, helicopters and industrial gas turbines. The company employs roughly 6,600 people across more than 20 facilities.
GE Aerospace has purchased castings from the company for over 15 years, so the deal converts a long supplier relationship into ownership. Chairman and CEO H. Lawrence Culp Jr. framed the purchase as an investment in mission critical casting capacity needed to serve simultaneous demand across commercial engines, the aftermarket and defense programs.
GE Aerospace said it plans to apply FLIGHT DECK, its manufacturing and operations system, across the acquired plants to lift quality, process performance and output. Culp said the work would also support deployment of enhanced airfoil technology and manufacturing readiness as production rates climb. Airfoils and other hot section castings operate under extreme temperature and load, which makes casting quality a direct input to engine durability and time on wing.
The company expects the acquisition to add to adjusted earnings per share and free cash flow in the first year after closing.
