MRO Americas 2026 marked its 30th anniversary with a strong showing from the global aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul sector, with multiple commercial agreements signed across engine components, distribution networks, and digital maintenance tools.
AFI KLM Engineering and Maintenance signed an Elite Licensed Repair Service Facility agreement with Woodward to provide MRO services for Woodward components across the CFM International Leap engine family, one of the most widely deployed narrow-body powerplants in commercial aviation. AAR Corp. also signed a separate multi-year commercial distribution agreement with Woodward, covering consumable parts for CFM International Leap, GE Aerospace GEnx, and CF34 engines, positioning AAR as a preferred distributor for Woodward products across its customer base.
Ontic announced a new distribution agreement with Boeing to supply Grimes engine valves to global commercial airlines, adding more than 1,000 new parts to Boeing Distribution's product catalog.
On the digital side, Canadian leisure carrier Air Transat completed deployment of Aviatar's Electronic Technical Logbook across its Airbus A321 and A330 fleet, becoming the first operator to run the system simultaneously in both the cockpit and cabin.
