Mint Turbines, a turbine engine maintenance and overhaul company based in Stroud, Oklahoma, has been named a Pratt & Whitney Canada Designated Overhaul Facility. The designation adds to the company's portfolio of manufacturer authorizations and allows Mint Turbines to perform Pratt & Whitney Canada-approved overhaul work on PT6A and PT6T series engines. These engines power business aircraft, agricultural aircraft, utility helicopters and air ambulances.
To earn the designation, Mint Turbines had to meet Pratt & Whitney Canada's standards for quality systems, technical capability and regulatory compliance. The company joins a global network of company-owned and designated service facilities that support the engine manufacturer's operators.
Rob Ruck, chief operating officer of M International, Mint Turbines' parent company, said the authorization reflects years of investment in the company's people and quality systems. He said the designation shows the trust the company has built through decades of supporting engine operators.
Founded in 1981, Mint Turbines has grown into a maintenance, repair and overhaul provider serving commercial, government and defense operators in more than 40 countries. The company already holds OEM authorizations from General Electric, Ozark Aeroworks and Rolls-Royce through its sister company Airborne Engines in Canada. It operates as an FAA and EASA Part 145 repair station and maintains quality management certifications including AS9100D, AS9110C and ISO 9001:2015.
State officials said the designation reinforces Oklahoma's standing in aircraft maintenance and turbine engine work, noting aerospace ranks among the state's largest economic sectors.
