Reynolds Technical Services, an affiliate of Cincinnati-based charter operator Reynolds Jet, has earned Part 145 Repair Station Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration, the company announced June 3. The repair station operates at Cincinnati Municipal Airport/Lunken Field in Ohio.
The certification process required evaluations of the company's facilities, technical personnel, operational procedures, training programs and quality assurance systems. With the approval in hand, Reynolds Technical Services can now offer maintenance, inspection and repair services to public and third-party aircraft operators, expanding beyond the internal fleet work it has historically performed. The company also fields a mobile aircraft-on-ground response team that supports operators across the United States.
John Carter, vice president of maintenance for Reynolds Jet and Reynolds Technical Services, said the certification validates the systems, training and quality standards the organization has built over years of supporting its own aircraft, while allowing it to extend those capabilities to outside customers. Combined with its mobile AOG capabilities, Carter said, the company is positioned to provide responsive support wherever customers need it.
James Murray, president and chief executive of Reynolds Jet, called the certification a major achievement and an important step forward for the maintenance operation. He said the company intends to bring the same standards of safety and performance applied to its internal fleet to the broader aviation community.
The approval adds another certified repair station to the U.S. business aviation maintenance market at a time when demand for third-party MRO capacity remains strong.
