StandardAero's facility in Augusta, Georgia, has been added to the Rolls-Royce Authorised Service Centre network, AviTrader reported on October 20. The authorisation expands on-site line maintenance support at the site for the Tay 611-8/8C and BR710 A1/C4 engine series.
Operators of Tay- and BR710-powered Gulfstream G300, G400, GIV, GIV-SP, G350, G450, GV, G500 and G550 aircraft that are covered by a Rolls-Royce CorporateCare contract can now use the Augusta location for on-site engine line maintenance. Services include inspections, troubleshooting, and engine removal and replacement. Work can be performed independently of scheduled airframe maintenance or alongside it.
Giovanni Spitale, President of StandardAero Business Aviation, described the addition as a natural extension of the investment the company has made in the facility over the past year. He said CorporateCare customers would receive the same level of support available at the company's airframe service centres in Springfield, Illinois, and Van Nuys, California.
StandardAero's support for Rolls-Royce CorporateCare customers now covers three US locations. Augusta provides line maintenance for the Tay 611-8/8C and BR710 A1/C4. Springfield supports the Tay 611-8/8C. Van Nuys covers the Tay 611-8/8C, BR710 A1/A2/C4 and BR725 A1-12.
The expansion extends Rolls-Royce's regional service coverage in the United States as its CorporateCare customer base grows. The Augusta site adds a Southeast location to a network that previously had service centres in the Midwest and on the West Coast.
