StandardAero, a Scottsdale, Arizona-based aerospace engine aftermarket services provider, has signed a LeaseTEAM agreement with global aircraft lessor Avolon to provide access to CFM International LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engine maintenance services. Avolon's fleet includes about 150 delivered Airbus A320neo aircraft equipped with LEAP-1A engines and 54 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft equipped with LEAP-1B engines.
Under the multi-year, non-exclusive agreement, Avolon gains access to a suite of LEAP maintenance services designed to back up its own maintenance planning and support its aircraft and engine lease underwriting. Avolon can extend elements of the agreement to its airline customers, including priority induction bookings that let operators reserve engine maintenance slots in advance to reduce aircraft downtime, along with not-to-exceed pricing on defined LEAP maintenance events.
StandardAero supports the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engine family from an 810,000-square-foot facility in San Antonio, Texas, where it holds a CFM Branded Service Agreement, the first of its kind for a non-airline provider in the Americas. The company has provided LEAP quick-turn shop visit services since March 2024 and completed correlation of its first LEAP test cell in November 2024, enabling performance restoration shop visits. StandardAero said it has industrialized more than 475 component repairs for the LEAP family through its Component Repair Services network and continues to train LEAP technicians through its in-house Aviation Mechanic Training Program in San Antonio.
