StandardAero has secured a position on a new U.S. Air Force contract to continue depot-level maintenance of T56 engines that power the global C-130 transport aircraft fleet. The Scottsdale, Arizona based company will perform the work through its San Antonio, Texas operation under a 10-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity agreement with a ceiling value of $342.2 million.

The contract covers repair and overhaul of T56 Series engines, modules and components for more than 1,200 C-130 aircraft operated by the Air Force, Navy and allied nations through the Foreign Military Sales program. StandardAero has supported the Air Force T56 program since 1999 and describes itself as the world's largest independent provider of T56 engine maintenance, repair and overhaul services.

The award extends a partnership that spans more than 25 years and builds on work StandardAero has already completed converting older Series 3 engines to the upgraded Series 3.5 configuration, a change intended to improve fuel efficiency and extend the time engines can remain on wing between overhauls. Company leadership pointed to the San Antonio team's technical experience and its role in keeping the C-130 fleet mission ready for military operators worldwide.

The T56 depot work is part of a broader trend among defense contractors securing long-term sustainment contracts for aging military transport fleets, as the C-130 remains in active service with air forces across multiple countries decades after it entered production. StandardAero is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker SARO and provides engine aftermarket services across commercial, military and business aviation markets.
