Velocity Maintenance Solutions announced an expansion of its hangar facilities at Wilmington Airport (ILG) in Delaware, with the move expected to take full effect by the end of October 2026. The FAA-certified maintenance provider currently operates from a 20,000-square-foot hangar at the airport. The new location is a nearby facility of 75,000 square feet that includes 40,000 square feet of hangar space, which doubles the company's hangar capacity.

Velocity offers scheduled maintenance, inspections, aircraft on ground support, avionics work, non-destructive testing, digital dent assessment and mapping, parts procurement and pre-buy inspections. The additional space is intended to increase the number of aircraft the company can work on at one time, shorten workflow and turnaround times, and allow it to take on larger and more complex projects.

The company also runs a mobile repair team of 14 trucks that serve customers across the United States, primarily on the East Coast. Mobile repair trucks are based at Wilmington, Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida, Scottsdale Airport in Arizona, Cincinnati Municipal Airport Lunken Field in Ohio and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in Ohio.

Velocity plans to add more certified aircraft maintenance technicians to its workforce over the next year. CEO Bryan Weiss described the facility expansion as an important next step in the company's continued growth. President Michael Baker said the team has experience supporting the principal business aircraft manufacturers, including Bombardier, Gulfstream, Dassault Falcon, Textron and Embraer.

The announcement was published on October 19, 2026.
