Precedence Research projects the global data center market will grow from $430.18 billion in 2026 to $1,103.70 billion by 2035, reflecting sustained long-term expansion driven by cloud computing, AI workloads, and hyperscale infrastructure development, according to a March 2026 compilation of industry statistics from Brightlio.

Statista's outlook places the global data center market at $527.46 billion in 2025, expanding at a 6.98 percent compound annual growth rate to reach $739.05 billion by 2030. The United States accounts for the largest single share of that total, at $171.90 billion, while the Network Infrastructure segment alone is projected to reach $254.80 billion in 2025.

Capital spending is climbing even faster than overall market revenue. Global data center capital expenditure surged 57 percent in 2025, driven by AI infrastructure build-outs, and the four largest US cloud service providers, Amazon, Google, Meta, and Microsoft, increased their combined data center capex by 76 percent during the same year. Dell'Oro Group forecasts that full-year 2026 data center capital spending will surpass $1 trillion for the first time.

Separate estimates from Grand View Research put the broader data center market at $347.60 billion in 2024, rising to $652.01 billion by 2030 at an 11.2 percent compound annual growth rate, while PwC projects global data center investment will reach $1 trillion by 2027. Across every forecasting method, the figures point in the same direction: data center revenue, capital spending, and physical footprint are all set to expand sharply through the rest of the decade as cloud computing and generative AI workloads continue to scale.
