Filings submitted to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation outline plans for four additional data center buildings in Cedar Creek, a community in Bastrop County southeast of Austin. Two of the applications cover single story structures of roughly 577,000 square feet each at 6543 FM 535, with each building carrying an estimated investment of 700 million dollars. Construction on that pair is scheduled to run from October 2026 through December 2028.
Two further filings cover buildings at 6682 FM 535, each spanning about 730,000 square feet and each also budgeted at 700 million dollars. Work on those is set to begin in September 2026 and conclude in March 2029. The filings identify the projects by code rather than by developer name. Local reporting has previously tied the land to EdgeConneX, and the project codes follow the naming pattern the company applies to its other sites in the Austin area.
EdgeConneX already holds an established position in the county. The company filed in June to build two 730,000 square foot facilities at the same 6682 FM 535 address, each at a comparable investment level, with construction running from June 2026 to December 2028. A nearby site at 8001 Wolf Lane is planned at about 578,000 square feet across two floors. Company materials describe an initial Cedar Creek campus offering 96MW across 920,000 square feet on 130 acres by 2027, with later phases capable of exceeding 336MW. Taken together, the operator's holdings in Bastrop County could support more than a dozen buildings across upwards of 1,500 acres at full build out. AI cloud provider CoreWeave has agreed to lease part of that capacity.
