QTS Data Centers announced the Fayette County Community Resilience Program on October 26, 2026, a partnership with Georgia Power aimed at helping eligible households make energy-efficiency improvements. The announcement came during Energy Efficiency Month. QTS operates a data center campus in Fayetteville, in Fayette County, one of the nine Metro Atlanta counties.

QTS is investing $14 million to fund pre-weatherization work for more than 800 homes in the county. Pre-weatherization addresses structural, health and safety problems that can keep a house from qualifying for efficiency upgrades. Once a home clears that stage, the program moves it toward weatherization and related improvements.

Eligibility is set by a program-specific home assessment. Upgrades that may be covered include attic insulation, sealing air gaps, cracks and leaks, installing smart thermostats, sealing heating and air conditioning ducts, servicing heating and cooling systems, and replacing gas furnaces, boilers and water heaters.

The program follows a defined sequence from customer outreach and home assessment through repairs, efficiency improvements and follow-up. QTS and Georgia Power are working with two organizations. The Same House handles local education and outreach, and Groundswell serves as the Energy Navigator, providing guidance, technical screening and application support as households move through the process.

Eligible Georgia Power customers in Fayette County can find enrollment details through Groundswell. Customers who are not selected can review Georgia Power's separate savings programs. Georgia Power's senior vice president and chief customer officer, Latanza Adjei, and QTS chief development officer Brian Herlihy both commented on the partnership at the announcement.
