Thor Equities has submitted plans for a 150MW data center in Bartow County, Georgia, filing through an acquisition entity named Thor Acquisitions WC LLC. The project, called the Kingston Technology Hub, sits in Kingston and carries an estimated cost of 1 billion dollars with completion targeted for 2030.

DatacenterDynamics reported the filing on September 14, 2026. The proposed building covers 350,000 square feet, roughly 32,500 square meters. Thor projects about 2 million dollars a year in local tax revenue and around 50 full time jobs once the campus is operating. Estimated water usage is 50,000 gallons per day.

The application sits with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs under its Development of Regional Impact review system, logged as DRI ID 4835.

Thor Equities is a real estate investment firm founded in 1986 whose portfolio has centered on retail, residential, and industrial property, with holdings across North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. The company runs its data center work through Form8tion, a unit established in 2023.

The move into data centers has already produced friction elsewhere. In June 2026 the firm filed suit against the city of Urbana, Ohio, after the city imposed a data center moratorium on a site where Thor says it had already committed millions of dollars.

Bartow County sits along the Interstate 75 corridor northwest of Atlanta. The filing is a new development application rather than an expansion of an operating campus, which places it at the earliest stage of the county review process.
