Vantage Data Centers has filed development plans for two facilities in South Fulton County, Georgia, adding to a metro Atlanta pipeline that has struggled to keep pace with tenant demand. The Westlake project would deliver 754,220 square feet west of Plummer Road and north of Riverside Drive, with completion scheduled for January 2028. The Stacks Road project would add 696,980 square feet at the intersection of Stacks Road and Mallory Road, targeted for January 2027.
The filings arrive as Atlanta's data center market operates at near full occupancy. Vacancy stood at approximately 1 percent at the end of March 2026, and facilities under construction across the region have been leasing before they open.
Fulton County hosts several other active projects. Microsoft is building the Palmetto Data Center in the city of Palmetto on land purchased in February 2024, with construction extending to 2028 across a site that can reach 116 acres. In neighboring Douglas County, Microsoft's Douglasville campus is completing a first phase covering nearly 1 million square feet across four 245,000 square foot buildings on a 160-acre parcel at 1601 North River Road. Stream Data Centers has separately proposed a 1.3 million square foot development in Douglas County along Jason Industrial Parkway and North Baggett Road, comprising nine buildings and two substations. Equinix is expanding in Henry County with a 240 megawatt Atlanta East project.
Transmission work is proceeding alongside the buildings. Georgia Power is constructing a 35-mile line between its Ashley Park Substation and Plant Wansley, crossing Fayette, Heard, Fulton, and Coweta counties.
