TradeTech publishes a Weekly Uranium Spot Price Indicator, its judgment of the price at which spot transactions for significant quantities of natural uranium concentrates could be concluded as of the end of each Friday. The series has run in the firm's Nuclear Market Review since March 8, 1996, and draws on completed and pending transactions along with firm bids and offers.

The chart covers June through October 2026 on a scale of $50 to $125 per pound of U3O8. The line starts near $86 in June, eases to about $85 through July, then climbs toward $90 by September and stays near that level through October. The roughly five dollar range across five months makes the period a narrow one on the chart's scale.

U.S. supply and sourcing figures from the Energy Information Administration give the price context. U.S. uranium concentrate production reached 2.1 million pounds of U3O8 in 2025, the most since 2017 and more than triple the 2024 volume. Owners and operators of U.S. nuclear plants purchased 46.9 million pounds of U3O8 equivalent in 2025 at a weighted-average price of $58.46 per pound, 11% above the $52.71 average in 2024.

Foreign suppliers dominated deliveries to U.S. plants. Canada supplied 32% of 2025 deliveries, Kazakhstan 28% and Australia 15%, while U.S.-origin material accounted for 7%. The EIA average reflects contract purchases across the year, so it measures a different basket than the weekly spot indicator shown in the chart.
