enCore Energy operates multiple in situ recovery uranium extraction plants in south Texas, and the company has continued installing injection and recovery wells through 2026. Work has focused on Wellfield 7 for much of the year, with Wellfield 3 Extension and Wellfield 6 brought toward production between late 2025 and early 2026.

The company describes itself as the only United States uranium producer running more than one operating extraction plant. Its south Texas operations sit in the same ISR district as Uranium Energy Corp's Hobson plant and Burke Hollow wellfield, a corridor that has become the center of restarted domestic uranium production after a long period of import dependence.

In situ recovery uses injection wells to circulate a solution through the ore body and recovery wells to bring uranium bearing fluid to the surface, leaving the rock in place. The method suits the sandstone hosted deposits found across the south Texas coastal plain and carries lower capital intensity than a conventional mill, which is part of why Texas has absorbed most of the new US uranium capacity.

Precious metals markets have moved sharply alongside the uranium activity. Silver rose about 20 percent during August, reaching 70 dollars an ounce on August 21 before settling near 69 dollars, with the move attributed in part to the US Treasury doubling long bond buybacks. Coin and bar demand is forecast to rise 18 percent this year to 257.6 million ounces, and the silver market is heading toward a sixth consecutive annual supply deficit.
