The American Transportation Research Institute announced on October 16 that its board of directors selected Page Siplon as its next president and chief operating officer. The announcement carried an Atlanta dateline. ATRI is the trucking industry's research organization and publishes studies on safety, operating costs and industry issues.
Siplon joins ATRI in November and will work alongside current president Rebecca Brewster during a transition period. Brewster plans to retire in February 2027 after more than three decades with the organization, and Siplon will succeed her at that point.
Siplon most recently served as CEO of TeamOne Logistics, where he spent more than a decade leading the company with a focus on the trucking workforce, driver recruitment and retention, safety and the operational challenges facing motor carriers. Before TeamOne, he spent more than a decade leading logistics and innovation initiatives for the State of Georgia as executive director of the Georgia Center of Innovation for Logistics. In that role he founded the Georgia Logistics Summit, which grew into one of the largest logistics conferences in the country. He later led Georgia's broader Centers of Innovation program, which oversees six strategic industry sectors statewide. At the national level, he served as vice chairman of the U.S. Department of Commerce's Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness.
Brenda Neville, president and CEO of the Iowa Motor Truck Association and chair of the ATRI search committee, said Siplon combines executive leadership, a record of building public-private partnerships and a deep understanding of the transportation industry. Brewster said she has known Siplon since his time with the Georgia Center of Innovation for Logistics and described his leadership as important to carrying ATRI's research mission forward.
