Loudon County Trucking, a subsidiary of PS Logistics, has acquired Roane Transportation Services, Roane Logistics and B&W Leasing, including substantially all of their assets. Commercial Carrier Journal reported the transaction on November 5, 2026. Financial terms and the closing date were not disclosed.
Roane is a privately owned company based in Rockwood, Tennessee. Steve Kennedy and Luke Wyatt founded it in 1996. The carrier operates in Tennessee and Texas and hauls flatbed and Conestoga freight, mainly aluminum, steel, electrical products and building materials across the Southeast and Midwest. Roane Logistics provides freight brokerage and warehousing. The company has more than 170 company, lease-purchase and owner-operator drivers. Fleet size and revenue were not stated.
After the deal, Roane will operate as Roane Transportation, a division of Loudon County Trucking. Steve Kennedy will continue to lead the division.
PS Logistics ranks No. 21 on the CCJ Top 250. Houston Vaughn, president of the company's trucking division, said the acquisition strengthens PS Logistics' presence in East Tennessee, a region important to aluminum manufacturing.
Since 2016, PS Logistics has acquired and integrated 32 trucking operations and five non-asset logistics operations. Last month, TA Services, the company's non-asset flagship division, acquired Carmen Pacheco Transportation and Interload Forwarding. That transaction expanded cross-border capabilities in El Paso and Laredo, Texas.
Kennedy described the combination as a strong cultural fit between two companies that put drivers first.
